A Life Lived With Camels

Welcome to our family-run camel enterprise in Kenya, shaped by over forty years of living and working alongside camel-keeping communities.

Through decades spent in close relationship with the Samburu people — living as a family, sharing daily life, and carrying out long-term research — we have gained a deep understanding and respect for this nomadic way of life. These years have taught us not just about camels, but about patience, resilience, interdependence, and what it truly means to live in rhythm with land, seasons, and animals.

Over the last thirty years, we have done many a camel and wilderness walk, learning first-hand the importance of moving slowly, travelling light, and staying attuned to nature. Camels have always been at the heart of this journey — remarkable animals that have shaped movement, survival, and culture across these landscapes for generations.

Our camel-led walking safaris unfold at a camel pace. We walk with the camels, carrying our world with us, guided by local knowledge, ancestral routes, and the quiet intelligence of the land itself. Days are shaped by terrain, weather, and shared effort; nights by simple camps, stories, and stars.

In addition to our journeys on foot, we produce fresh camel milk, handcrafted camel milk soap, and opportunities for guests to stay with camel-owning families — offering a rare, relaxed and respectful glimpse into pastoral life and cultural traditions.

For those drawn to learning and observation, we also support self-motivated research, grounded in long-standing relationships, trust, and care for people, animals, culture and landscape.
